Rejuran skin treatment
Rejuran places polynucleotides, purified DNA fragments derived from salmon, into the skin through a series of fine injections. It’s used for skin quality concerns such as fine lines, dullness and crepey texture, including in the delicate under-eye area. A consultation comes first, to see whether it may suit you.
All procedures carry risks and results vary. Read about recovery and risks below.

About Rejuran
Polynucleotides are thought to support the skin’s own repair processes. Unlike treatments that add volume, Rejuran is aimed at the quality of the skin itself. It is included on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods as a medical device (ARTG 412630).
A course of usually two to four treatments, a few weeks apart, is recommended, and any change develops gradually. The evidence is still developing, and results vary from person to person.
Who it may suit
Adults with fine lines, dullness or crepey texture, including under the eyes.
It isn’t suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an active skin infection in the area, or if you have a fish or salmon allergy. Your practitioner will review your medical history before recommending it.
Recovery and risks
Every option carries risks, and your doctor will explain them in detail before you decide.
Recovery
Small raised bumps at the injection points usually settle within one to two days. Redness, swelling and bruising are possible, and bruising under the eyes can take a week or more to fade.
Recovery varies from person to person.
Possible risks
Discomfort at the injection points, redness, swelling, bruising, small lumps, infection, allergic reaction, and a result that is uneven or smaller than hoped. Your practitioner will explain the risks that apply to you, and how they’re reduced.

Important information. All procedures carry risks. Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed. Take time to consider your decision. You may wish to seek a second opinion.
