Body contour consultations
Areas of fat that don’t respond to diet and exercise, loose skin and cellulite are common at every age. Our doctors offer minimally invasive procedures under local anaesthetic and will help you understand what’s realistic for your body.
All procedures carry risks and results vary. Read about recovery and risks below.

About body contour concerns
Fat distribution is largely genetic, and some areas, such as the abdomen, flanks, thighs and upper arms, can stay the same despite a healthy lifestyle. Skin can also loosen after weight loss, pregnancy or with age.
Cellulite is caused by fibrous bands under the skin pulling down while fat pushes up, which is why it’s common even in people who are lean. These procedures are not a weight-loss treatment.
Your consultation
- iA review of your medical history, weight history and medicines
- iiAn assessment of the area, including skin quality and fat
- iiiAn explanation of what each procedure involves and can realistically achieve, including not having treatment
- ivA tailored plan, or a referral where another approach suits you better
- vClear information on recovery, time off work, risks and costs
- viA cooling-off period before any procedure is booked

Important information. All procedures carry risks. Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed. Before any treatment you’ll have a consultation with a registered practitioner, who will explain the expected benefits, recovery time, possible side effects and complications, costs, and alternatives, including not having treatment. Take time to consider your decision. You may wish to seek a second opinion.
