Wrinkles
Facial lines are a natural part of life, shaped by the way we smile, laugh and express ourselves over time.
All procedures carry risks and results vary. Read about recovery and risks below.

Understanding facial lines and expression
At Concept Cosmetic Medicine, we understand that concerns about facial ageing are personal. Our focus is on providing clear, informed advice and helping you explore options that suit your individual needs and preferences.
With more than 20 years in cosmetic medicine, our philosophy is centred on careful assessment, personalised care and realistic expectations.
During your consultation, our medical practitioners will assess your concerns, explain the options available and help you make an informed decision about what may be appropriate for you.
In accordance with Australian regulations, prescription-only treatments are not advertised online. These may be discussed during a private medical consultation where clinically appropriate.
Your consultation

- iiAn assessment of your lines at rest and when your face moves
- iiiA discussion of your goals and what is realistic for you
- ivAn explanation of the options that may suit you, including not having treatment
- vClear information on what’s involved, recovery, risks and costs
- viTime to think it over before you decide
Depending on your assessment, treatment may or may not be recommended.
Options we may discuss
Your practitioner will explain which options may suit you. Some require a prescription, and these can only be considered after a doctor’s assessment.

Daily sunscreen and a skincare routine to support the skin.
Learn moreSkin treatments
Laser, peels and skin needling can improve fine lines and texture in some people.
Learn moreTreatments that require a prescription

Recovery and risks
Every option carries risks, and your practitioner will explain them in detail before you decide.
Recovery
Recovery depends on the option your practitioner recommends, if any. It can range from none for skincare to a week or more for some skin treatments. You’ll be told what to expect, and what to avoid, before you go ahead.
Recovery varies from person to person.
Possible risks
Risks vary by treatment and can include bruising, swelling, redness, discomfort, infection, an uneven or unexpected result, and rarely serious complications. Your practitioner will explain the specific risks for your situation, how they’re reduced, and what to do if a problem occurs.
Who you’ll see
You’ll see one of our experienced practitioners. Any treatment that requires a prescription is only considered after a consultation with a doctor, and our registered nurse may then carry it out.

Book a consultation
Every treatment at Concept Cosmetic Medicine starts with an unhurried, one-on-one consultation with an experienced practitioner. You’ll talk through your concerns and goals, and leave with a clear plan built around your skin, with recovery, risks and costs explained, so you can decide with confidence.
Important information. All procedures carry risks. Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed. Before any treatment you’ll have a consultation with a registered practitioner, who will explain the expected benefits, recovery time, possible side effects and complications, costs, and alternatives, including not having treatment. Take time to consider your decision. You may wish to seek a second opinion.
