PDO Threads by Lisa Greenberg

Audrey Hepburn said “The most important thing is growing old gracefully”, but she didn’t know about my new bestie, thread lifting (threading)!!

Before continuing, here’s my disclaimer – I’m super committed to my two hours of daily exercise, high protein/high fibre/zero processed carb diet and I never go to bed wearing make-up. There is no miracle cure for ageing. And while I’m a threading fan, no procedure can negate a bad diet and lack of movement, it only compliments our lifestyle.

However, coupled with these age-old suggestions of healthy eating, regular exercise, consistent skin cleansing, hydration and sun-avoidance, threading has surpassed my expectations for ageing gracefully!

When my “magic mirror on the wall” began reflecting sagging cheeks and exaggerated “marionette lines” from the outside of my mouth to my chin, it was time to compliment my routine.

Threading fills the gap between non-invasive facial rejuvenation and surgical facelifts.

WHAT - Threads are inserted through small facial incisions to gently "lift" and “tighten” the skin and further combats ageing by amping up facial collagen.

COST – $3500

BENEFITS:

(1) My “fresh and natural skin” is continually commented on, and I see a huge reduction in marionette lines and definite cheek lift.

(2) Minimal down-time

(3) Immediate visual results

DISADVANTAGES:

(1) no running for 2 weeks was inconvenient but not unsurmountable

(2) slight facial pain (no pain relief required) but none of the expected bruising and swelling

ADVICE:

Choose a reputable clinic with medically trained doctors. I chose Concept Cosmetic Medicine, as they promote wanting friends “guessing why you look so good, not asking what work you’ve had done”.

I love the results, and it’s only two weeks post-procedure.

Thank you @lisagperfectlyimperfect
