Jawline Sculpting
Jawline sculpting with dermal fillers is a popular non-surgical option for men and women wanting to enhance the contour of their jawline or jowls.
COMMON REASONS WHY PATIENTS WANT A JAWLINE TREATMENT
The most common reasons our patients enquire about jawline treatments are:
To strengthen and contour a non-defined “weak” jaw
Contouring of dreaded jowls
Adding volume to jawlines that have lost structural support due to ageing
Increasing jawline volume anywhere from the chin to the ear
Correcting jawline asymmetry
HOW LONG WILL THE TREATMENT LAST?
The answer to this is very individual and depends on the patient’s anatomy, metabolism, the dose, the placement, the product etc. Typically with our most commonly used premium dermal fillers, the protocol is: If the patient is happy with the results at 1 month (ie there has been adequate fill) they should be treated at 6 months, then at 6 months and then once yearly.
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY?
You may have some bruising or swelling after the procedure. These side effects go away in a few days. Still, you should be able to see an immediate and noticeable difference. You can apply cold compresses or ice packs to the treatment area to minimize any discomfort.
DOES IT HURT?
We can use a specialised numbing cream - our own formulated high potency anaesthetic. You can also choose to use Nitrous Oxide (Happy Gas) during the procedure.
Our doctors can also perform an anaesthetic block in certain areas, like those used at the dentist.
These minimise the discomfort associated with this treatment.
WHAT BRAND DO YOU USE?
Dermal Fillers are considered a prescription medication. As a professional clinic, CONCEPT COSMETIC MEDICINE cannot by law name specific brands as it's in breach of Australian advertising law however, all the major brands available in Australia are used at CONCEPT COSMETIC MEDICINE and are of the highest quality.
